They wanna see you fall
wanna hear you shatter
we’re living today
and note the past don’t matter
my bills stacking high
and my check aint fatter
then it was last week
but then again that too don’t matter

Daughter on the living room floor
crying that she hungry
screaming daddy
your supposed to take that from me
your supposed to take my hunger
and feed me pride, because the stone
cold shame is eating my inside

but then again that too don’t matter
my lies aint no rope its becoming a latter
on the climb my heart fell and the moon
heard it shatter
even if the pieces went missing
that too dont matter
