She sits patiently waiting for him to enter the room.
Was this really what she wanted?
Could it be that this was meant to be.
If only he really knew the truth of how she felt,
perhaps another card would have been dealt.
He arrived just in time with no knowledge of the crime.
In shock this young author wanted to take a closer look
and perhaps write this young woman’s story in a book.
The girl in the corner it would read,
the girl who slit her wrists just to see it bleed.
What a horrible story with a fatal end
his fear was to publish it for it might start a trend.
He would not be to blame for another life lost
after all he’s accomplished how much would did cost.
So he left it alone as the whole town mourned
her yet he’ll never forget that girl in the corner.
