What can I do?
No answer.
I am forgotten.
A light flashed too fast to be appreciated,
A story never finished,
Cut short by fate.
Who is he?
No answer.
A shadow goes unnoticed,
As I watch him fade.
Where we were once joined at our feet,
A gap never to be filled again.
Disappearing into nothing.
Where will he go?
I am unsure.
Once said, “Like distant waves,
We drift apart.”
Fall into flooding tears
He is not to be rescued
He cannot be saved by me alone.
When will it be done?
Ticking, ticking, ticking,
Metronoming mundane patterns
Anticipating infinity
Slowed by thought
Missing that of one most loved
Pains me more to see him gone
How will it end?
I am unsure.
The branches of life
Foretold by One
Twist and tangle around my road
Whither to become clear
Brief will the moment be.
Will we meet again?
Yes.
Of that I am sure.
