When I entered ODC after travelling miles
My heart gives me a wonderful smile.
I feel proud to be in such a big Company
With clients from U.S, Japan and Germany
Seniors told me, u will enjoy a lot
But only if you learn to frame good political plot
But when I met with ODC reality
For the first time in life, I felt guilty.
In all my endeavors to become billable, I fail
So once again I start sending chain mails
Finally I got my client ID one fine day
But there was only Rs500 increment in my pay
People here are very colorful and
Always appear to be Joyful.
Some use to come by 12 and leave by six
And some spent years to get the bug to fix.
Some spent even nights in office and never cross exit gates
As they have no one at home to wait.
Rating is there on five point scale for name sake
Bits are genuine and bytes are of luck and rest is fake
Managers try hard to manipulate data points
So as to renew the project from the client
Sometimes we won project, mostly we fail
But we continue our efforts by sending request mails
Sometimes I feel here as in central jail
And unable to find any way to get bail
Boss use to address us very rare
Even if we open blocked sites, he doesn’t care
To your grievances’ no one will give heed
If you ask for help, with lecture only they will feed
The work you get, you won’t find interesting
And slowly on astrologers you start trusting
Comparing to others, your salary will always appear less
Colleagues seems to be enjoying but your life is still messed
Some keep on struggling on offshore forever
And some stick on to onsite who are clever
Some try to find mistakes in others to rise
And they tell everything to boss to enact as wise
And if all goes well, you will get salary hike
With flexible time, special perks and arrears as your prize
The best thing you can do ASAP try to get work visa
And then get greencard after marrying John, Anna or Liza
So finally you understood why my status is always busy
Because I don’t have the guts to tell the truth of my ODC
