You will have heard the story, about Red
Riding Hood?
You know where she visits Grandma,
Who lives in the dark woods.
Well that isn’t how it happened
Put that book back on the shelf,
I’ll tell you all about it she told me herself.
One day she had a phone call,
Granny was feeling rough.
So she packed a basket, put her cape on and set off!
Outside the birds were singing, spring was in the air.
she skipped along the winding path and sang without a care.
But the forrest was getting spooky as the sun was going down.
Now she wished she had caught the bus,
hopped on in the town.
Strange noises made her nervous,
What was thier cause she did not know?
So she took off running as fast as her little legs would go!
the trees where getting thicker,
gnarled branches caught her hair.
She stumbled , scrambled to her feet.
The big bad wolf stood there!
“hello dear “he said slyly
And he grinned from ear to ear,
It is so nice to see you, what are you doing here?”
“I guess judging by your basket you’re off to Grandmas place.?”
She had heard all about him so she punched him in the face!
Shocked, wolf lunged towards her,but she was far too quick,
And brought the bad dog crashing down with an awesome kung fu kick!
Little Red hadn’t finished he got an elbow in the ribs!
She said “that’s what you get you bully for picking on little kids!”
Wolf cried like a big girl,he had enough you could tell.
Red charged him with a clothes line,
He fell backwards down a well!
Red had a little giggle, dusted off her clothes.
what happened to wolf after that no one really knows?
So she picked some pretty flowers as she reached old grannies door.
Things aren’t always what they seem,
What do you think the (red cape)was for?
