I opened the door to my heart
The world came in to hide
Filled the void torn apart
Blackened the boy deep inside
Thickened the smoke I inhaled
Make-believe isn’t a cure
Passing attempts that have failed
Blood spilled like wine – spilled so pure
I opened the door to my heart
Light shined so bright through my face
Filled the void torn apart
A crack in the window of grace
