I believe they’re full of self fear and terror.
I believe that they wonder why they see a dark figure when they stare at themselves in the mirror.
You’re the faint noise I hear behind me when I’m walking home at night. Very faint, but enough to spook me.
You’re the bad apple that spoiled the whole bunch.
You’re showing us hate, while we’re trying to find love.
You’re the monster in my closet that only comes out at night, but is always unnoticeably nesting in the back of my mind.
For every problem, there is a solution.
There was a small kink somewhere in the chain of evolution, and it grew.
I want to believe that one day, we can fix it.
I want to believe that one day,
There won’t be wars, guns, murder, and bombs.
But maybe that won’t happen, until the whole world is gone.
Think of all the fathers who leave to fight, and don’t come home.
Or the ones that come back to their families,
But leave their minds in the war zone.
We are humans, our minds are not trained,
To be able to witness horrific deaths and violence on a daily basis,
And be able to walk away the same.
I want my thoughts to take over my mind,
And pollute the air around me like a contageous flu.
So the people around me can understand things in my point of view.
And maybe one day I’d travel the world.
And spread my words like the metaphorical wildfire that burned our earth to dust.
Try to explain that it’s never too late for change, it’s all up to us.
No matter what happens, I’ll die a happy man.
Not because I own things, or have a get rich quick plan.
But because I have a heart, and a life, and a family.
Because I am able to love and be loved,
Everything else to me is just a bonus.
I think they wrote the figure of speech backwards, because the HEART is where your HOME is.
