In Love
The rush of emotions
Is almost wild
The Christmas morning
Excitement of a child
This is what it’s like
To be in love
Your head starts spinnin’
Your heart beats faster
Your face is a grinnin’
The world stands still
This is what it’s like
To be in love
The twinkle in your eye
A glimpse of heaven
No need to be shy
Just another summer romance
This is what it’s like
To be in love
Perfection is now reality
You jump on in and
Hope it’s not fatality
You give your heart, your life, your soul
For the chance to one day reach your goal
Could it be true love?
This is not what I’ve been told
The lies
That crush the heart
The tears
Hit like a dart
Is this what it’s like
To be in love?
All trust is lost
And secrets found
Couldn’t you have
Just stuck around?
It hit hard
Just like a shove
But now you’re gone
This can’t be love.
