We see the flicker of a candle
And both have the beat of a heart
we sense the silence of the moon
yet, we are worlds apart
you sieze every moment
as if it were your last
while i savor the small things
hopeing the big ones will pass
you gave me your heart
and i promised you my soul
but when you told me “I love you”
my bloods warmth then ran cold
I mean how could you love me?
I was shallow and full of hate
I was complicated and stupid
i was hopeless and out of faith
And while i sulked at my feet
you looked into my eyes
with a smile, and simply said
that “All love is blind”
That i didnt need a friend
I needed someone to hold
I needed someone to catch me
before id ever fall
then you told me you loved me
and this time I didnt mind
because you were brushing back my tears
Now we’re both, forever blind.
