This deep aching pain that flows deep in my veins
Is a never ending storm of desolate rains.
Followed by a cloud that looms overhead
Following me, still, when I lay in my bed
To the question souls want and souls yearn
To hear “I love you”….but we’ll never learn
That by saying yes,
Before you guess,
How they could hurt you
Isn’t for your best,
I see that you don’t realize
In my eyes are only worries and lies.
But you broke my heart
And left me there to dye
So I started to cry
Beginning to wonder, “Why?”
Conceded with power
Or flooded with guilt
We have our cards of which we were dealt
you move on, I’m sitting here
Lonely wondering who’s its fault
It mine for saying yes
Without taking a guess
At what could happen
This love is a mess.
