A fluttery feeling,
That comes from my heart,
I think of the end,
Before I reach the start

The tick in my mind
The fear and the thrill,
If it’s meant to happen
It can, and it will.

I can’t not admire,
The smile on your face.
If I leave this alone,
Will it fall into place?

Or will it slowly melt,
And just fade away,
Like a sidewalk chalk drawing,
Washed out by the rain

You stand out to me,
You’re the moon to my sky,
My heart’s in a knot,
Only you can untie.

It’s a painfully warm feeling,
Like scolding hot knives,
Will you hold my hand firmly,
As we coast through our lives?

When you smile I’ll smile with you,
‘Cause the sight cheers me up.
When you cry I’ll cry too,
‘Cause I love you so much

The excitement and wonder
Is now kicking in,
The long road ahead,
Is about to begin.

I won’t let you feel lonely,
Scared or alarmed,
You entered this world
In somebody’s arms.

They held you and loved you,
Day after day,
Walk with me, and I promise,
You’ll leave the same way.
