Like a leaf blown away by the wind,
You were gone and our time together saw its end.

God saw fit to carry you away,
Oh how we prayed for him to let you stay
How cruel this life without you has been

Words can never explain how missed you are.
Your life was as bright as a shooting star
Please God, take the pain away,

All I have to look forward too is so many years
That are guaranteed to be filled with pain and tears
