welcome, cooling heated flesh,
whispering like a baby’s breath.
soothing,as it rustles trees,
bringing with it peaceful sleep.
discarding,brittle autumn leaves,
to build and gather underneath.
at its will they swirl and dance,
then disburse,given to chance.
howls outside,unsettling wild,
ghostly noise to wake a child.
shakes the shutters,creates a din,
rattles the door wants to come in.
meanest of tempers, roars like thunder,
havoc,thrashing things assunder,
at its mercy,victims shake,
leaves devastation in its wake.
