In a log cabin,
where the sound of the crackling fireplace drowns the silence.
It snaps, crackles, and pops.

The snow is falling gently
As it boarders the window sill
and blankets the tree tops.

You stare out your window,
Not thinking about anything in the world
Other than the delightful scenery that’s just outside

Everything is perfect.
As it should be.
The peaceful serenity of your own state of mind

The whistle of the kettle rings through your ears,
Like an unexpected gunshot,
Like it should be aggravating or disturbing, but it’s not.

The kitchen is polluted with the smell of hot chocolate,
as the fire begins crackling furiously,
As if it wants you to rejoin it.

So you do. You’re not alone.
Your own relaxation keeps you company.
People underestimate their ability to stay calm and carefree.

Peace is a mindset away.
Acknowledge the power of the human brain,
Think up a storm of positivity.

We have senses so we can notice beauty,
We see it, feel it, hear it
Smell and even taste it every once in a while

But we all have a sixth sense
That most people aren’t aware of.
That is the ability to make ourselves smile.

Don’t let yourself wander
Away through the dark
It’s often hard but that’s just life.

Forget all the worries
The fear and the stress
And just stare out your window sometimes.
